Navigation etc.
The instrumentation for this has been surmised from several sources:
- The version with orchestra was an orchestration by R. Söderlind, so violin/orchestra wasn't the original instrumentation.
- Ole Bull first played this on a concert tour of Cuba, and he was known for taking popular tunes from countries he touring, and making concert pieces from them. This would indicate a violin/piano instrumentation.
- A companion piece to this which was lost (Los Recuerdos de la Habana), has been reconstructed by H. Kraggerud for violin and piano.
Therefore, the piece has been tagged for violin and piano, but can be retagged if more information comes to light.
