The Mushroom Desert is one of the 2 islands in The Farming Islands that is located north from ⏣ The Barn, and has items unique to the area.

When the player first enters ⏣ Mushroom Desert, they will be greeted with the following message:
Location[]
The Mushroom Desert is part of The Farming Islands. It is accessed by using the north warp pad at The Barn on the top of the terraces. The player needs to reach Farming Level V to unlock access to this location.
Features[]
The Mushroom Desert is the only public island where players can get Sand and Cacti for their Collections. The island is also divided into multiple areas with each one of them serving a different purpose in the game:
Sublocations[]
Desert Settlement[]
The Desert Settlement is the first location players visit after entering the Mushroom Desert. The area is characterized by small houses with NPCs in them.
Treasure Hunter Camp[]
The Treasure Hunter Camp is a small area players can visit to talk to the Treasure Hunter. In the middle of the area there's a campfire as well as a tent and some unmineable Gold Blocks. The staircase leading to this location begins at 205, 78, -409.
Oasis[]
The Oasis is one of the biggest areas of the Mushroom Desert. One of the entrances to it is located at 164, 76, -408 and the area stands out from the rest of the island with its lively green terrain. The area has a lot of Cocoa Beans that can be collected by players, Sheep that players can use to get Wool and Mutton, a few ponds to fish in and some Sugar Cane around them.
Mushroom Gorge[]
The Mushroom Gorge is located in the mountains and is semi-underground. The Hungry Hiker can be found here. One of the entrances is located at 205, 76, -480 and the area contains many custom Mushrooms as well as normal Mushrooms and Mooshrooms. The area is a sort of hub for the whole island and most locations are connected to it.
Glowing Mushroom Cave[]
The Glowing Mushroom Cave is located in the Mushroom Gorge. It can be entered from 244, 54, -503 and it's one of the places where Mooshrooms spawn. It is connected to the Overgrown Mushroom Cave and has characteristic blue walls with crystals hanging from the ceiling.
Overgrown Mushroom Cave[]
The Overgrown Mushroom Cave is the continuation of the Glowing Mushroom Cave. The area has a mossy feel and Mooshrooms can be found here.
Jake's House[]
Jake is in this little hut, found on the highest mountain on the island at 255, 183, -565.
Desert Mountains[]
Jake's House is located atop the Desert Mountains. They are a series of peaks with small rope bridges connecting them.
Shepherds Keep[]
The Shepherds Keep is a small area in the south-east corner of the island. It is characterized by its lack of Cacti and an increased amount of Sheep. The Shepherd is found here.
Trappers Den[]
The Trappers Den is a small cave located at 285, 102, -570. This is where Trevor, Tammy and Terry's Shop are found.

- The Mushroom Desert is the location with the third most NPCs, after the Hub and the Dwarven Mines.
- The Mushroom Desert and The Barn are in the same server. This means the player can travel between the islands without using Slime Launchers.
- On the original Mushroom Desert island, there was a launch pad that said "Coming later this year!" located at 246, 99, -412.
