Sting

– The Bridge

The Bridge ist für mich der schönste Titel vom Album, auch wenn er etwas kürzer geraten ist. Nur die Stimme von Sting und die Gitarre sind zu hören, aber was seine Stimme erzählt geht mir tief unter die Haut und lässt mich nachdenken:"

We are but bags of blood and bone, yet we carry the weight of our sons and our daughters

Sehr starker Text. Die Musik kann mich nicht komplett überzeugen. Trotzdem ein extrem starker Titelsong

Bei allem Respekt, auch hier ist musikalisch Schmalhans Küchenmeister.

Trotz allem geht die Musik über den Text.

An der Stelle: Text vor Musik. Aber erinnert mich zu sehr an seine Zeit ca. 2006-2013 (zählt man The Last Ship dazu) in der Art der eher reduzierten Gitarren-Instrumentierung.
