According to a police procedure concept presented on June 15, at least 15,000 policemen from all over Germany will be deployed in the city. In addition, roughly 4,000 policemen will be on-site. Furthermore, the German police will be supported by numerous special units from abroad, including a special unit for maritime protection from the Netherlands, and the elite special task force Cobra from Austria, specializing in terrorist threat situations. Roughly 100,000 protesters are expected during the summit, among them 6,000 to 7,000 left-wing autonomous G20 opposers.
