Market share of PC shipments in India Q1 2017-Q1 2023, by vendor

In the first quarter of 2023, HP held the biggest market share of around 34 percent of PC unit shipments in India. India's traditional PC market includes desktops, laptops, and workstations, and the shipments have been increasing during the last three quarters.

HP Inc. had been generating high revenue from its computer division and related technologies across the world, with the majority of revenue generated from the PC segment, amounting to more than 44 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. In the same year, HP Inc. employed nearly 58 thousand employees worldwide.

Personal computer (PC) shipments

Lenovo, Asus, Dell, HP Inc., and Apple are some of the leading personal computer (PC) vendors across the globe. Since 2018, Lenovo has outperformed its rivals in terms of PC shipments across the world. In 2022, Lenovo shipped the highest number of PC units, valuing to approximately 69 million. PC shipments in India was quite the contrary. HP Inc. dominated in terms of PC shipments with nearly 4.5 million PCs shipped in 2022. Lenovo ranked third with over 2.8 million PC unit shipments.
