Getting businesses to implement new technologies into work processes is a key policy aim of the European Union's digitalization plans. In 2022, over 50% of firms in all EU member states implemented new technologies, with the EU average being at 68 percent.
Slovenia, Denmark, and Spain top the list, with over three quarters of firms reporting having implemented new technologies in the past year, with a majority of these firms reporting that they implemented multiple technologies. At the other end of the list are countries such as Hungary, France, and Lithuania, with roughly half of companies in these member states having put in place new technologies in their work processes.
