In response to the cost of living crisis, the government of the United Kingdom announced a series of measures to help households in the country. The most widespread of these packages was a 400 British pound energy bill grant announced in 2022, which was allocated to all households in the country. The measure with the highest overall value was the cost of living payment, which will saw approximately eight million UK households on low income receive 650 pounds in two separate payments in 2022, and a further 900 pounds paid in three installments throughout the 2023/24 financial year.

Cost of living payment: For 2022/23; a 650 GBP payment paid in two installments – for over 8 million households on means tested benefits. For most, the first payment will be made in July, the second in autumn. For 2023/24, a means-tested benefit whose recipients receive three payments totaling 900 GBP.
Energy bill grant: a 400 GBP grant for all households taken off energy bills in autumn 2022
Extra winter fuel payment: an additional 300 GBP payment to over 8 million pensioners who receive the Winter Fuel Payment.
Extra disability benefit payment: an additional 150 GBP payment to around 6 million people receiving disability benefits
Council Tax rebate: A 150 GBP non-repayable Council Tax rebate in April for households in Bands A to D in England, which covers 80% of homes in England
