Percentage of coastline erosion in Italy 2018, by region
Some 46 percent of sand coastline in Italy is subject to erosion. As of 2018, the largest percentage of coastal erosion were recorded in Abruzzo, Basilicata, and Calabria, three Southern regions, where the coastline erosion concerned 58 percent to 63 percent of their coasts.
