In 2023, the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) of wind power plants in Brazil amounted to 0.03 U.S. dollars per kilowatt-hour, a drop of some 80 percent in comparison to 2010. Meanwhile, the rest of South America reported a LCOE of approximately 0.06 U.S. dollars per kilowatt-hour in 2023, down from 0.11 U.S. dollars per kilowatt-hour in 2010.
