Share of people engaged in panic buying due to COVID-19 in Vietnam 2020

According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on panic buying after the coronavirus outbreak, 61.57 percent of Vietnamese respondents stated that they had not engaged in panic buying because of the coronavirus pandemic, while 38.43 percent of respondents did. In the same survey, the majority of respondents who engaged in panic buying indicated that they stocked up on dry food items such as rice, noodles, pasta and flour.
