The coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic in Switzerland has led to the introduction of recommendations and rules of conduct for the population in public spaces and in the workplace. According to a survey conducted in the country in 2020, the majority of responents agreed with these measures, such as not shaking hands or keeping a distance when outside.

This request was stated during the survey in the following wording: "Please specify how strongly you agree with the following statements regarding individual rules of conduct: I follow these rules of conduct in public spaces (public transport, grocery shopping etc.) and I follow these rules of conduct in my professional life." Average value on a scale of 10= "Completely agree" to 1= "Completely disagree".
