According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage, younger South Koreans aged 16 to 34 used e-payment services most frequently. In these two age groups, over 60 percent of respondents said they made e-payment transactions at least several times a week. In the same survey, 84 percent of respondents made transactions using e-payment methods.

The survey was conducted among 1,459 female and 1,325 male respondents.
The survey was conducted among
668 respondents aged 16 to 24 years,
2,561 respondents aged 25 to 34 years,
3,166 respondents aged 35 to 44 years,
2,276 respondents aged 45 to 54 years and
1,137 respondents aged 55 years and older.
Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.
