In 2023, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) recorded a consolidated sales revenue of approximately 88.2 trillion South Korean won. This value was an increase compared to the previous year. KEPCO was ranked as the sixth largest company in South Korea according to the Fortune Global 500.

The primary source for electricity in South Korea

KEPCO is the largest public enterprise in South Korea. It owns multiple subsidiaries focused on power generation and is traded on the Korea Power Exchange, the main platform to buy and sell electricity domestically. Such transactions with electricity are the main source of revenue for KEPCO.

Subsidiaries supporting the energy industry

In addition to its power companies, KEPCO is also affiliated with three companies that provide pertinent services for the energy industry in South Korea. KEPCO KDN is an IT company that works on solutions for automating and improving power grid management. KEPCO KPS and KEPCO E&C offer expertise in power plant design and engineering. In a similar vein, subsidiary company KOGAS-Tech supports the public company Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS).
