Sakis Rouvas, along with his managers, Elias Psinakis and Costas Spyropoulos, met this evening with ERT CEO Johnny Kalimeris and Eurovision anchor Daphne Bokota, in order to finalise the agreement of representing Greece in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Moments after their meeting, the parties involved spoke live at the News program of Star Channel.
Daphne Bokota, emphasized the fact that, because of the Olympic Games been held in Greece this summer, they had to be very careful with the way the country would be represented in another popular event like the Eurovision Song Contest. She said that Turkey also had some unsuccessful entries previous to its victory last year and it seems that ERT hope Sakis will ensure a good placing for Greece.
During his brief announcement, Sakis himself said that he will do his best to represent his country and requested the Greek media to assist him with their support in this effort. It was also confirmed that the popular artist will be joined on stage by the three finalists of EuroStar and two female dancers, while the presentation of the song Shake It will be choreographed by successful Greek choreographer Fokas Evaggelinos.
The song will be presented for the first time to the Greek public this coming Friday, 19th March, at 21:00 CET on NET. The show will be recorded tomorrow at FEVER music center.
