Irish poet and newspaper proprietor. Editor of "The Wild Goose" (1867), a weekly shipboard journal. Contributed under pseudonym of "Binn Eider". Established "The Irish Citizen" (Sydney, 1871-1872). Proprietor of the "Gympie Miner" newspaper from 1888
