Translation Sack of Tripoli (1146)
[edit]Hey, what is the name of the french wikipedia article that you translated this from? I just want to put the proper attribution template onto its talk page and wikidata link the two. You can put the attribution there if you want (here's the template if you don't know):

Jahiliyah Wars moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Jahiliyah Wars. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CycloneYoris talk! 21:01, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

User:Winipitia/Imaginary List of wars involving tunisia
[edit]Hi Winipitia. You seem generally interested in becoming a good Wikipedia editor and helping to improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. With that in mind, I think you probably should take a look at Wikipedia:User pages, in particular this section, and also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, in particular this section. Your userpage and all pages in your userspace are still subject to Wikipedia policies. Wikipedia allows us to use our userspace free of charge so that we have a place to practice editing or practice other things that eventually will help make Wikipedia, but the pages in your userspace still belong to Wikipedia. The userspace is not an appropriate place for fan fiction or lists of imaginary stuff like wars involving Tunisia. If you like writing about those kinds of things, that's OK; please, however, do it somewhere other than Wikipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:57, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks but are my pages are gonna get deleted ??? excuse me but i made this pages for me only, it's private pages i never published them i never linked them to anything in wikipedia that's why i put "User:Winipitia" before each one of my private pages, there is no way anybody can enter those pages, and im making those pages to make it easy on myself to create my own imaginary historical stories which is a huge story, in the same time i train to update my knowledge about wikipedia system and how to make better pages. by the way how did you find this page ?? and is it really a big problem ?? well if it will reach deletion to the pages i made i wish you enform me before you do and thank you Winipitia (talk) 01:23, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Your userspace pages aren't private; in fact, no pages on Wikipedia are private. Wikipedia is in the WP:REALWORLD and there's a public record of every edit you make to any Wikipedia page that anyone who wants to can see. Every time you click on "Publish changes", you're making whatever you posted visible for the whole world to see.Anyone can edit the pages in your userspace. Most people won't and will leave them alone, but your userspace belongs to Wikipedia, not you, and it can and will be edited if you start doing things in it that are in accordance with relevant Wikipedia policies. Wikipedia isn't the place for you to create your own imaginary historical stories regardless of how huge they are. Using your userspace to practice editing is perfectly OK; if, however, you start to move too far away from that with your imaginary stories, it is possible that a Wikipedia administrator might decide to delete the page. Finally, since you seem to be a young editor, you might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors; in addition, since you also seem to be interested in subjects related to Tunisia, you might want to take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Tunisia and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa. If you have any general questions about Wikipedia or what I posted above, you can always ask them at Wikipedia:Help desk or Wikipedia:Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:42, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Ok i understans, But at least can i do whatever i want in my sandbox ?? Winipitia (talk) 01:44, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- You can do whatever you want as long as whatever you do is not in violation of Wikipedia:User pages or any other Wikipedia policy. Please read WP:UPYES and WP:UPNO because those two section explain what kinds of things are OK to do in your userspace. If you still have questions after reading those sections, you can ask them below, ask them at WP:HD or ask them at WP:THQ. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:25, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
