RE:semi-protection: we don't semi-protect pages preemptively - if a problem begins follow the advice at WP:PROTECT and it will be solved then - but in all probability what you are expecting wont happen--Cailil talk 23:59, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Linguistics

[edit]

Hi. I saw your edits to Linguistics that were promptly reverted by User:Angr - as it is I understand why he reverted them but think he should have given you his reasons in his edit summary and even better mentioned his reasons on the talk page. if you want to start a debate about your edits I suggest you start a section about your suggestions at Talk:Linguistics. I don't think you will have much luck though - as you know we have discussed it fairly thoroughly and for example there is not many editors who would be willing to exclude the notion of linguistics being particularly the scientific study of language. ·Maunus·ƛ· 14:32, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Linguistics. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

In this edit you gave no reason for why you reverted, you just threatened other users. In this one you didn't even leave an edit summary. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 20:22, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
