User and talk page design

Your User and talk page design which is in use on kingboyk's user and talk pages really caught my eye, and I've taken a liking to it. It looks simple, yet excellent, and it's not overdone. I asked kingboyk about it and he said it should be fine for me to use it as well, but to also run it by you. I've put it on my pages already, but if it's a problem, I can take it out. There is a user with sockpuppet accounts who has an interest in creating articles on Native American culture (the content may or may not be nonsense). See the notice I posted here.   • I love this page layout style but it has one issue, that images sometimes trail off the bottom or out of the boxes they're placed in... I tried to move the fairy around so it would not, but it leaks out no matter what I did. (for me on Firefox 1.5 anyway). I know I haven't spoken to you in a while, but I really need your help. One of my subpages (User:Spawn Man/Reviews) has been picked out by a big time editor & is now up for deletion here, Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Spawn Man/Reviews. I know it may sound like I only come around when I need something, but this is really important to me. I only did this as a last resort. Please vote to keep the page & I'll do anything, eat your shoes, clean your toilets for a year, even wear one of those t shirts that say I'm stupid! Well, I ran into your name on a deletion page, where you were accused of getting away with a long user page and adminship cause you posted pretty pictures of yourself and whatnot. Reading through your page, I ran into your piece on Wikilove and was absolutely stunned. Such an articulate, wonderful piece of writing that exemplifies a certain kindness/inner beauty. Anyway, I had trouble finding some sort of award to give you, since you seem to have scooped most of them up. The Military history WikiProject Newsletter Issue I - March 2006
Project news An independent military history peer review has been created for the benefit of the project. A number of articles have already been reviewed, receiving significantly more feedback within the project than they did on the generic peer review page. The project's Collaboration of the Fortnight got off to a great start with Ferdinand Foch and is now focusing on the military history of Spain. Two new task forces—dealing with warfare during classical antiquity and the Middle Ages—have been created. An effort to build a catalogue of high-quality maps for use in military history articles is now underway. The newly-formed translation department is looking for volunteers to help with translating featured articles from other-language Wikipedias.	From the Coordinators Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Military history WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this new format will help members—especially those who may be unable to keep up with some of the rapid developments that tend to occur—find new groups and programs within the project that they may wish to participate in. Please consider this inital issue to be a prototype; as always, any comments and suggestions are quite welcome, and will help us improve the newsletter in the coming months. Current proposals Proposed guidelines for categories of military people are currently being discussed. A number of issues have already been resolved, but the proposed scheme is still in draft form and further input would be very welcome.

Hi; thanks for your note. Kinda burning out on it for today as every time I turn over a stone I find twenty more (e.g. at Algonquian languages there's another 20 or 30 that have to be listed yet). Started out working my way through the part of the map I know about; got seduced by trying to be as complete as possible, so wound up exploring continent-wide. I'm not First Nations/Native American but lived a long while at various times in native communities (see http://www.cayoosh.net); but basically there's nothing my obsessive-compulsive mind likes better as a way to waste time is to make up lists, connect/link them, and otherwise waste my grey cells.....the alternative is to play music (e.g. http://www.myspace.com/tamanasstyee or at http://www.cayoosh.net/music/Skookum1 22:24, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

RfA offer

Hello Phaedriel. Nice to meet you, this userspace is particularly beautiful. I had planned to make a run at the end of May, but I definitely won't be going "now" (at least in the next week) because I am worried that Anwar saadat will launch an attack, based on his comments at my editor review. This was due to a dispute at Talk:Ajith about his repeated use of the terms "mega-star", "mega-hit", "!" in a very hagiographic manner, in which he accused User:Zora, User:Ganeshk, User:David Crawshaw, myself of trolling and vandalising for trimming the article, and then started to behave in such a way as to irritate most of the Indian noticeboard at Wikipedia talk:Notice board for India-related topics, and raised eyebrows at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Re:_User:_Anwar_saadat, and left rude comments to Indian bureaucrat Nichalp at User talk:Anwar Saadat/Archive 2. He also made his RfA debut at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Srikeit to oppose on the grounds of not having featured material - I have never seen anybody oppose due to lack of featured content, which may have resulted from Srikeit asking him to keep cool on Talk:Ajith, which was their only interaction. If a lot of Indian editors kept a close watch on the RfA and defended me, (as Nichalp did when he tried to gatecrash the Aucaman arbitration and decided to try and get Zora banned), it would make it better, but I think Anwar might be able to sway people who are not particularly familiar with me, so I would prefer to wait at least two more weeks to see how this issue pans out.

Also, User:Srikeit, User:Snottygobble and User:I@n had started work via email on a joint nomination, as they had already individually expressed interest in nominating me.
