Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia written in over 250 languages by thousands of users like you and me from all walks of life. As a member of the Welcoming Committee, I would like to say thanks for being a part of this project.
Here are some links to help you, the new user, on your Wikipedia journey: Whether you're new to the project or have helped us for a while, remember to use edit summaries when you're done with a page. Summaries are important because, with those, other editors will understand what you have done with the content. REMEMBER: think twice before clicking "Save page" below the editing box, since whatever you write in the summary box will permamently go in the history of any page. (Spellchecking is important; you cannot change the summary data after you have finished editing.) Remember, also, to sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by pressing this button () above the box, whenever leaving comments on talk pages. If you want to know how you're doing on Wikipedia, feel free to check out your list of contributions. If you don't know how to do something, type {{helpme}} on your talk page, and administrators will come to solve your problems. After you've stayed here for a while, you might want to take an editor review, or, even better, take a chance at adminship. Wherever the journey takes you, I wish you the best of luck and respect on Wikipedia. If you have any questions about my expertise or this site, you can e-mail me or talk to me, and I will see about the situation as best as possible. In the meantime, happy editing! |

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible Edits To Chronic Lyme
[edit]I appreciate your efforts to make the article on Choosing Wisely more neutral. I think another article that could use some editing for neutrality would be the Chronic Lyme Disease article. Currently, it is slanted against any belief in Chronic Lyme, and even reliable scientific citations that show evidence of Chronic Lyme get removed. For someone who is newer to editing Wikipedia, it would be risky for me to do too much editing on the Chronic Lyme article; however, for sake of neutrality, it should be edited. The first line should read: Chronic lyme disease is an illness, the existence of which is disputed.( with citations to IDSA and ILAADS). Thank you, and hopefully this process of updating the Chronic Lyme article can be undertaken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Healthsupporter (talk • contribs) 00:26, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Healthsupporter Thanks for your support on Choosing Wisely. I don't know much about Lyme, but I encourage you to Be Bold! Say on the article's talk page why you're adding references. If they get deleted without good explanation, you can let me know and I'll try to take a look and add 2 cents. You may do better to seek arbitration. Numbersinstitute (talk) 17:02, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hello, Numbersinstitute
Thank you for creating Hand counting.
User:Dmehus, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
This is a decent enough redirect; however, the term hand counting can refer to, among other things, vote counting and finger-counting. I would probably prefer this be targeted to the latter, but since it's not mentioned in that target, I've left it as is and just refined the target a bit by modifying the section to which it targets. I have also added the rcats {{R to section}}, {{R to related topic}}, and {{R from incomplete name}}. Finally, I have added hatnotes on each of pages. If you'd like, you might like to try MJL's Archer script, which is super easy to use and lightweight and very useful for adding rcats to redirects. Nonetheless, I have reviewed this redirect.
To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dmehus}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

[edit]Hi there! I noticed that in File:Whaling by country.png, which you uploaded, the bottom of the image appears to have gotten cut off from the latest revision. See File:Whaling by country.png#File history. Just thought I'd drop a note about it as you are best-placed to figure out what happened. If I can provide any aid here just say the word!
