hey dude

IMO luke wilkshire's old photo is a lot better. just letting u know so u dont find out later from some one else —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.243.151.30 (talk) 07:05, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

 • You make it sound like it's going to be crushing to discover you prefer the old one, but I'm hardly going to take it personally. I do disagree but I'm happy to go and get another opinion. Camw (talk) 07:15, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Speedy delete

Lack of (verifiable) references; perhaps CSD is a little hasty, however... there is other content online about the individual; tagged it for cleanup/reference check in lieu. 12:34, 4 April 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by R3ap3R.inc (talkcontribs)

Speedy deletion of Arch Crippin

Thankyou. I was about to over react. -Sticks66 12:33, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

So now the article is left with an original research and a self-published source tag. I would prefer not to remove them myself. Could you ? And do you think that 2 x on-line sources + 2 x published book source is adequate to avoid the "needs 3rd party ref" tag. -Sticks66 12:51, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Will reply on your talk page. Camw (talk) 12:56, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Luke Wilkshire Infobox Photo

Yeah I noticed that new photo you uploaded and almost changed his infobox photo myself. I reckon go ahead, the current one is really grainy (its a zoomed in area of a team photo if I recall correctly). The photo's you took at the roos game are great, thanks again for uploading your photos. Jared Wiltshire (talk) 01:29, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Football (soccer)

Hopefully the IP sees sense and comes back for discussion post-block. I think he has failed to grasp the topic thus far, but I have confidence in the WikiProject's ability to find consensus sooner rather than later. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 15:44, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Vote for Football as the Australian collaboration

Hi -- I recently nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do for the Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight.

This WikiProject has been inactive for a long time and with the World Cup coming up, it would be good for football (soccer) articles to be in depth and comprehensive in Australia.

If you would like to support it, click here for the project page to cast your vote

Thanks! Australian Matt (talk) 02:41, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Successful ACOTF Selection

Hi -- Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do has successfully been voted in as Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight. Thanks very much for your support and I look forward to the work we can do improving Football articles in Australia over the next 2 weeks.

Out of date A-league articles

Hi, I've been looking through Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Cleanup listing and found that there's at least one FA and 2 FLs that really need an update- List of Central Coast Mariners FC players, Central Coast Mariners FC and List of Queensland Roar FC players. I'm happy to do them myself, but I thought you might be able to do it a bit quicker than I can. If not, pointers on the best sites to use would be much appreciated! Stu.W UK (talk) 13:02, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

No problem. Editing wikipedia, eating chocolate eggs- sounds like a pretty good weekend to me! Stu.W UK (talk) 13:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

I've done most of the List of Central Coast Mariners FC players - it took ages, so I'm going to take a break, I'll finish off the Central Coast article and get to the Queensland one eventually. Camw (talk) 04:43, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Nice one, I can do the Queensland one if you like. Using your list I've added some more capped players to the 'notable' list and turned it into a table as it was starting to look a bit messy. edit: I was going to add some players (listed here) to the list of notable players but wasn't sure of the best way to do it. Would've made it a table but need to learn how first!Stu.W UK (talk) 17:37, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Haven't gotten on to this. Too drained from all the drama over at the WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia. I think I need a break from Wikipedia as a whole. If you are keen to have a go at the Queensland article then go for it, my source for the Central Coast was just adding all the figures together from the official team page into a spreadsheet and going from there. Camw (talk) 04:29, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough, I'll have a look when I can-got a lot of work this week but probably after that. It's easy to get too focussed on wikipedia and forget it's not meant to stress you out! All the best Stu.W UK (talk) 04:38, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Please understand

I was not claiming you did not have a valid arguement, but I didn't agree that a consensious had been reached there yet. 60.224.2.159 (talk) 04:39, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Return back my article please!

i believe you have just deleted my article that i was working on. return it back please. i believe you are a good man. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.103.163 (talk) 11:01, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your prompt response. The title is Ligers FC. I am still editing the page when it got deleted. Appreciate if you can return it and i will make a perfect and complete article on it. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nzligers (talkcontribs) 07:10, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Macro Polo Hotels Group

Please give me the reason why the passage "Macro Polo Hotels Group" was deleted. Ricky@36 (talk) 09:01, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I know the reason. The spelling of "Marco" in "Marco Polo Hotels Group" was incorrect. Ricky@36 (talk) 09:40, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Yep, the person who created the "Macro Polo Hotels Group" article requested the page be deleted because of the typo. Camw (talk) 12:37, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

en-Wikiversity Usurpation Request Confirmation

I confirm that I have requested to usurp the Camw username on the en-Wikiversity site. Camw (talk) 12:55, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Would you be interested in adding any of those reliable sources to the article? The article itself doesn't do any justice in establishing notability so it was fair game to prod. As it is, notability is only established in edit summaries. AgneCheese/Wine 04:21, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Replied a couple of times on your talk page. Camw (talk) 04:34, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, but..

Kerium Bulut

No, no i never got round to seeing any NYL games unfortunatly, but i have heard from people who have he was a great player. I saw this whilst browsing the sport articles on Google News, but i thought i'd just leave it up to an expirianced editor to decide wether he should be added as yet. (hence the attached news article). I can't make the article on him this week, too much work, I'll leave it up to someone else, if i get time i'll do a bit.

Yeah it is a lil strange getting him, but we still got 2 players left, and 3 internationals, i added 2 trialists on the 09/10 page, i think Vitezslavs looking to sign a lot of talented youth, but we got a pretty strong YT, if you saw last season, so hopefully it wont be too much of a worry, pretty sure he's gonna sign Gustavo Latrionco (i think thats his name) and James Vaughen, but time will tell i s'ppose./ Nath1991 (talk) 08:59, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough, I think the Maximum Squad number is 23, but it could be 24/25. I have also recently learnt they increased the Import players cap from 4 to 5. Even with the insertion of Bulut, we still have 2 places to fill, (if the cap is still 23 players.) I'd rather us fill our international quota with some overseas talent, rather then bring in players like Rizzo. Havent seen a great deal of him, but i know he had a fair few shockers at Perth, and like you said, he's a very inconsistant player, a bit like Fyfe was. We need 100% 24/7 security at the back, not when the suns shining and the grass is short. Nath1991 (talk) 09:45, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi, could you please explain how this article possibly asserts notability? The article itself says it is "comparatively small" which should be self explanatory. The small list of releases doesn't say much either. Triplestop (talk) 16:57, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

why are you trying to protect Holman? just let it slide Tha trooth (talk) 06:10, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Photos

Hey, just wanted to say great job with all the players pictures, your pretty quick to get a snap of a new player, you even got some of a couple trialists, i just wonder how you get them, how you manage to get around the player, do you work for Sydney FC or the media?? Keep up the good work anyway :) Nath1991 (talk) 10:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Kojiro Kaimoto

Thanks for fixing the reference format. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to do it. Damn FNSW URL formats! Cheers mate. batobatobato (talk) 13:00, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Erin Wallace

Hi, Can you please point out where Erin Wallace asserts notability? Regards, RaseaC (talk) 22:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for that, I'm not too farmiliar with the deletion procedure but will look into what you suggested. I noticed there was minor discussion, but in my opinion nothing that warrents inclusion. Regards. RaseaC (talk) 22:51, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

football (soccer)

Hi, you seem to be doing a lot of edits described as "Replaced: Association football (soccer) → football (soccer)", and your edits appear to be changing "football (soccer)" to football (soccer). However, "football (soccer)" is equally a redirect to Association football, so as long as you are changing it anyway could you please change it to: "football (soccer)" and avoid the redirect. Thanks--ClubOranjeT 12:15, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

 • Hi, yeah sorry about that, I missed those somehow. I'm actually finished making changes, but if I do any in the future I'll be sure to edit to avoid the redirect. Camw (talk) 12:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Corton Conner

Nice catch! Keep up the good work! Best Regards, Hamster Sandwich (talk) 02:54, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Images

Good job, taking out the yellow helps immensely. Can you crop out the picture frames? The work will benefit without them.thanks...Modernist (talk) 12:35, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

 • Thanks. I've left a note on Kingturtle's talk page asking for him to okay cropping out the frames. If he says he is alright with it then I'll do that. Camw (talk) 12:44, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Camw, can you teach me how to do it? It would be very useful for me to know. I have Gimp. Is that what you used? Kingturtle (talk) 19:23, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

 • Hey, I ran them through Lightroom which makes things pretty easy but The Gimp should be able to do it. I don't have any experience in using it, but I just downloaded it to have a look.
Colors - Auto - White Balance would be the first thing to try at having it fix it automatically. This might work better for some images than others.
Colors - Levels has a series of three eye-dropper icons, the third one is "Pick White Point" - you can use this to click on an area of the image that should be white (like the walls) and it will try to adjust the levels accordingly.
The other way to do it with manual control is through the Colors - Curves menu. This is a bit more complicated than can be easily explained here. It might be worth searching for a tutorial on adjusting white balance with curves in gimp and just doing some experimentation.
The other thing you should check is if your camera allows you to control White Balance. Most cameras do a decent job in most situations in Auto, but if you can control it, you can try to pick a more appropriate white balance for the lighting if the camera is getting it wrong (just don't forget to set it back to auto when you are finished!).
Let me know if you have any questions and how you go! Camw (talk) 00:34, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I did some experimenting with Gimp. Looks like Tools:Color Tools:Levels is the way to go. Many thanks again, Kingturtle (talk) 00:40, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Bonneau du Martray

Hello, your addition of Bonneau du Martray was an excellent piece of work. However, I felt the last section was too much WP:WINEGUIDE material, since it reported ratings from wine critics, and therefore removed this section. In my opinion, there may be exceptional circumstances where such material may be reported, e.g. when it is tied in with the description of the history of an estate, but this was not the case here. But keep up the good work! Regards, Tomas e (talk) 09:31, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Cheers for clearing all that mess up i made hahahaha, my bad, first time in uploading photos. Nath1991 (talk) 13:09, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

 • Nah mate, i dunno if i'll be able to make it, gonna be pretty busy, i might be able to free up some time, doubtful though as my trial HSC's are around the corner Nath1991 (talk) 13:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
