WP:HOCKEY
[edit]If I'm no longer having fun on those articles, then I'm only ruining it for others. I'd change my mind if the diacritics were completely eradicated from the NHL team articles & Elrith promised to abide by the compromise, but that's not gonna happen. Thanks Bsroiaadn for your kind words, they're appreciated. PS- I haven't given up fully in my hopes to rid us of these foreign symbols (see Wikipedia: Naming conventions (use English)). Ice Hockey Template Image
[edit]Don't suppose you would be able to whip up a Boston Bruins (BOS) image like the one you did for the Devils. (Image:NJD Bsroiaadn.png) that I could throw onto the ice hockey template for the new task force eh? Was just going to use the logo but I realized it violates fair use. -Djsasso (talk) 19:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- And a Columbus Blue Jackets (CBJ) one as well. We seem to be adding a buncha task forces lately. -Djsasso (talk) 18:04, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Nevermind we manged to get some made. :) -Djsasso (talk) 19:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, sorry I wasn't able to make them for you guys, I hadn't been on in a while...but you guys got it done anyway. I hope I will have enough extra time to be able to get one a little more often now. It seems as though WP:Hockey has been thriving though if there are more task forces being made, and that's good to hear. BsroiaadnTalk 18:45, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey, don't know how busy you are, but if you have a little free time, take a look at the Scott Stevens article. I've put it up for peer review, and I'm sure the vast majority of the article is acceptable, but the lead sucks, and I've never been good at writing the lead. I'd like to put it up for GA nomination sometime this week or next, and the lead is the only thing holding it back. If you can't, no big deal. Anthony Hit me up... 13:20, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, how have you been? I realize this is a bit late (almost a year late), but I felt I should respond anyway. Nice work on the Stevens article, it turned out very well. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I just didn't have much time to get on here. Hopefully now I will have some extra time so I can start getting on here more often again. Now, if only I could remember how to do pretty much anything....it's a learning process all over again BsroiaadnTalk 18:32, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Willy Wonka character2
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:Willy Wonka character2 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an unambiguous misrepresentation of established policy.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. • S • C • A • R • C • E • 03:34, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:89plymouth-voyager3 2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:89plymouth-voyager3 2.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:34, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:89plymouth-voyager3 2.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:89plymouth-voyager3 2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:32, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
John Steinbeck named his first born son after his favorite uncle: Tom. He didn't want nor expected to have another child and when his second wife Gwyn presented him with another son, he chose to name that son after his father who was John Steinbeck II. John E. Steinbeck the author was number three, thus Johnny was number four. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Catbird222 (talk • contribs) 09:55, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Yer mum
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Yer mum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Jay Leach (hockey coach)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jay Leach (hockey coach) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
