The Prodigal is the debut studio album by American Christian contemporary musician Josiah Queen.[1] The album was released independently on May 24, 2024. It reached #1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart[2] and #18 on the Official Charts Christian/Gospel Albums chart.[3] Seven of the songs off the album were released as singles, and one of the songs was not released as a single, but entered the charts regardless. The title track of the album was nominated for Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year at the 55th GMA Dove Awards.[4] At 6.6 million global streams, the album is considered to be biggest streaming album debut in Contemprary Christian music history.[5] The album's style is considered a blend of folk, acoustic, and rock.[5][6] On November 22, 2024, a deluxe edition of the album was released, featuring 10 additional songs.[7]
