Vitalstatistics

[edit]

He's 192 cm (6 ft 3½ in), not 195 cm. Also, as a boxer he got his weight down to 117 kg (258 lb). Didn't he also go by the name of Tony Holm as a wrestler?

"True" Finns party

[edit]

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not Finnish) but I used to live on Perustie in Helsinki, and I would translate "Perussuomalaiset" as "The Foundation of the Finns". Just sayin'

-- Boston Matt — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.6.168.76 (talk) 01:26, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If one wants a literal translation, I think "Basic Finns" would be more accurate, though I'm not really sure what would be the best translation (I am Finnish by the way). However "True Finns" is the name they use of themselves in English (at least on their website). Also the Swedish name of the party is "Sannfinländarna" which literally means "True Finns". He died on the 8th noth the 10th

[edit]

New reports are saying he shot himself 2 days before being discovered. So that means he died on January 8th —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.224.235 (talk) 13:54, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Was Tony Halme his birth name because it sounds not really finnish? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.128.51.75 (talk) 01:21, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tony is in fact a fairly common name in Finland as its roots are in Sweden. The Finnish name Toni is no doubt based upon it. ---TheHande (talk) 15:02, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely not - his real name should be the title of the article not how he is known for just part of his life. The current use of REDIRECT ensures that he is found.Peter Rehse (talk) 12:01, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New Image

[edit]

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could edit Tony Halme's pictures. They only show the back of his head and IMO that's not only unprofessional, but disrespectful to Tony and his family. There are multiple images of Tony online that I feel would be better suited for his Wikipedia page, but I don't know how to go about editing the page to put in an image. And even if I did, I don't think the copyright rules would allow me. Hopefully someone can help change the images. Thanks! Gibby4 (talk) 23:37, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I felt the same thing when I came to his page. This guy wrestled professionally all over the world. Wiki couldn't find one usable photo that showed his face? 71.168.126.73 (talk) 21:11, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it. Possibly someone can find a usable image with the proper licensing (previous photos have been deleted from Commons for copyright violations). A picture of the back of someone's head is not encyclopedic. Schazjmd (talk) 23:13, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
