Greeklish
[edit]Dear Bluewater: The customary rendering of the lead characters name in the English language is Dicaeopolis (ae being the customary transcription for the diphthong αι). If you wish to argue for changing the article to use the modern rendering, please present your arguments here first. Regards, sys < in 07:23, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
New edit
[edit]Regarding above post, Dikaiopolis is in my copy fo Sommerstein's translation and I'll use that since I intend copying his Dramatis Personae here. I intend giving this article a rewrite, hopefully finishing the bulk of it in a few days. My intention is to link it in with the rewrite of Aristophanes and it should then have the same format as Lysistrata and Thesmophoriazusae. Lucretius (talk) 02:25, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Nav. Box
[edit]I have restored the nav box (linking to Aristophanes' plays) to the top of the article because it allows for easy cross-referencing between plays and because it is a useful reminder that each play is best understood in the context of all the plays. Lucretius (talk) 00:09, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on The Acharnians. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20121106202629/http://books.google.com/books?id=ERCq4LYXn9kC&pg=PR14 to http://books.google.com/books?id=ERCq4LYXn9kC&pg=PR14

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).
