Record

[edit]

Also his record isnt 1-0, its now 2-0 since the semifinal rounds of The Ultimate Fighter are timed according to standard UFC rules. Therefore his win against CB Dollaway both times are his two MMA wins. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Burn1n9m4n (talkcontribs) 08:03, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No he is 1-0. We use Sherdog here, and fights on TUF besides the finale are not professional bouts. They are exhibition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.165.5.227 (talk) 00:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did you even watch the fight? His record is shown as 1-0 before the fight, and CB's record is shown as 7-1. Joe Rogan even explained it. This is because the semifinal fights counted. They counted because they were sanctioned for 3 rounds. The previous fights were not and are, thus, exhibitions. Amir beat CB in the seminal, giving him a 1-0 record. CB beat Tim, giving him a 7-1 record. The finale added 1 to Amir's wins and 1 to CB's losses, resulting in 2-0 and 7-2. Sherdog either isn't updated or just isn't informed.

I know Amir personally and went to school with him in Richmond. Trust me.

Apparently the records quoted in Wikipedia for MMA fighters comes from Sherdog which has Amir at 1-0. If you can find a reputable source that says otherwise, offer it up. I'd also like to note that UFC.com shows Amir as 1-0. --TreyGeek (talk) 02:20, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UFC.com also shows CB as 7-1. Where do you think the extra win came from? It was his semifinal win against Tim. That's because semifinal wins count, and UFC hasn't updated their page either. Sherdog shows CB as 6-1. Both sites aren't updated. Here are five sites that show the correct records: http://www.mmauniverse.com/news/SS3090

What I find interesting about your most recent link (mmauniverse.com) is that they have Amir's two wins as against C.B. Dollaway in the finals and Steve Brynes in Episode 1. The matches in episodes 1 and 2 were for two rounds (unless there was a draw). This would not be considered an official match by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but an exhibition and therefore does not count towards his "professional" record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TreyGeek (talkcontribs) 23:24, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, the mmauniverse site is obviously wrong. I find it interesting that CB is 7-1 on UFC.com though. 98.169.78.56 (talk) 00:47, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ATTENTION: Amir is listed as 2-0 here: http://www.ufc.com/AmirSadollah --JustinTD79 (talk) 05:57, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's been listed like that for a while on UFC.com, even though at the bottom of that same page it lists only one fight. Sherdog.com still has Amir at 1-0 (listing the same fight as UFC.com). The mystery is: what is Amir's official MMA match other than The Ultimate Fighter Finale? --TreyGeek (talk) 14:32, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UFC sadly counts the semi final results. However, UFC often gets fighters' records horrifically wrong. For example, Melvin Guillard had over 40 wins according to UFC at UFN 19: Diaz vs. Guillard. As we know, that's almost double what he REALLY has.

As a sidenote, does anyone know music Amir entered to at UFC 101? Paralympiakos (talk) 01:44, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
