Ri Ho-jun (Korean리호준, born 1 December 1946) was a North Korean sports shooter and Olympic Champion. He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich,[1] the country's first ever Olympic gold medal.[2] In August 1972 he was awarded the title of Merited Master of Sport of the USSR.[3] He also competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1980 Summer Olympics.[1]

Ri also taught shooting sports to North Korea's future leader, Kim Jong-il. Ri later became his closest bodyguard.[2]
