Jean Claessens was a Belgian footballer born 18 June 1908 in Anderlecht (Belgium), died 1978.[1]

Biography

Claessens was a midfielder for the invincible Union Saint-Gilloise triple Belgian champions from 1933 to 1935. He was a freekick specialist.[2]

He played 21 matches for Belgium from 1932 to 1936.[3] He played in one game at the 1934 World Cup in Italy.[4]

He finished his career as player-coach at RAEC Mons after the War.
