YouTube is a video sharing internet company which allows users to view, upload, and share net-ready video clips. A subsidiary of Google, YouTube's extensive media content includes movie, TV clips, music videos and viral videos, as well as amateur content such as videoblogging, Video podcasts, and short original videos and animations.

Videos can be rated, and the average rating and the number of times a video has been watched are both publicly displayed.

YouTube and furry[edit]

YouTube holds a significant place in the furry fandom. There are thousands of furry videos, clips (including those from the Funday Pawpet Show), animations, artwork slide shows, films, and television programs on it. The fact that it is easy to upload and share videos makes YouTube a very valuable resource to furries. There were also groups on YouTube at one point dedicated to the fandom, but have long since been removed.[clarify][citation needed]

Furry YouTubers[edit]

In addition to various furry related videoclips and such, there has been a growing trend of furries starting their own channels and making content for others. Furry YouTubers such as Majira Strawberry have contributed to the recent growth of the furry fandom through YouTube.[1] Most furry YouTubers often give out advice about the fandom, do random skits, and livestreams as well.
