Usage notes
edit- Most nouns ending in -арня (-arnja) are simply nouns ending in -ар (-ar) suffixed with -ня (-nja), such as кнїжкарня (knjižkarnja) or сладолядарня (sladoljadarnja).
- In colloquial speech, the suffix -ара (-ara), derived from Serbo-Croatian -ара/-ara may be used in its place (regardless of whether the noun was originally suffixed with the combined suffix), such as млєкара (mljekara) instead of млєкарня (mljekarnja).
