Representing a lamp wick of twisted flax. The uppermost loop is often the biggest of the three. These wicks were generally made of a folded strip of fabric twisted tightly and soaked in unused fat. This glyph was conventionally colored green. The phonogrammatic value of is derived by the rebus principle from ḥꜥt (wick).
