Bog bodies

edit

Thanx for the warm welcome! I "take care" of the bog bodies in the German Wikipedia and would like to help out here once in a while... Is there a group of users dedicated to prehistory like in the German Wikipedia? Kind regards, --Lillyundfreya 11:20, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not that I am aware of, but that doesn't prove anything. The closest thing I could find was Wikipedia:WikiProject Archaeology. Storeye 11:26, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Astragalus membranaceus

edit

Sorry, I reverted your edit today in Astralagus as they just have Astragalus membranaceus as a redirect page going to Astragalus propinquus, which is already listed in the list of Astralagus species. I don't know why they consider A. prop... to be the best name instead of A. memb... I'd rather it were done the other way but I've not found sufficiently notable references to warrant changing both this article and the other two plus all the links. (Wikipedia is a real hassle about that. I thought about making Wild buckwheat into a disambiguation page and listing the Eurasian species by its scientific name but gave up due to the number of link changes involved.)But if you can establish notability to revert my edit then you might want to do the other changes as well.Trilobitealive (talk) 01:33, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ooops, sorry I didn't realise that they were the same species. I do not have much knowledge on the topic and simply noticed that the species name I was looking for wasn't there. I assume there is little harm done in having the page under one name rather than another. Thankyou for clearing this up for me! Storeye (talk) 04:06, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
They get pretty confusing sometimes. Keep up the good work and don't let this sort of thing get you down. I've been reverted many times on different articles and know how frustrating it gets.Trilobitealive (talk) 04:34, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Catullus

edit

Hi, Storeye. Thank you for you comment at WikiProject Catullus. New voices are always welcome. Please consider joining the project. There are few participants at the moment, yet decisions made on the project’s pages in the next couple of weeks will likely affect the future shape and number of Catullus aricles on Wikipedia. User:WillowW has provided the following areas for discussion:

Hope to see you there. Regards, Aramgar (talk) 14:19, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

One

edit

I agree with you about the article on generic 'you' - this article is very loaded. It should be about the 'generic you', but spends half the time lambasting 'one.' Stuffy? Formal? I don't consider 'one' to be stuffy or formal, but 'you' to be both rather vulgar and confusing - but I would not deign to hijack the article on 'one' to promote my own linguistic bias. This article is odd indeed. --It's-is-not-a-genitive (talk) 16:23, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

IP Vandal

edit

hi Storeye, I thought I'd just let you know that this user is an IP hopping vandal who has been vandalising wikipedia for several years now. He/she has received numerous warnings about his/her disruptive editing and he/she has ignored all of them, so if he/she continues to make non-constructive edits, feel free to revert them without informing him/her about it. JayJ47 (talk) 23:24, 19 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know, I was trying to assume good faith but it does look like vandalism. Storeye (talk) 00:11, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
