A horse farm with Reba, Amy and Barbra??

edit

"He also once considered buying a horse farm in Guthrie, Oklahoma with Reba, Amy Grant ("House of Love"), and Barbra Streisand ("If You Ever Leave Me");"

Does that sentence make sense? I don't think it does - there seems to be something missing in between. But then again, I'm not an English native speaker, so maybe I'm all wrong.84.63.39.178 14:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • At any rate, I've deleted it, because real estate that Vince Gill considered buying, but didn't actually buy, is not significant enough to mention in his biography, regardless of who he planned to buy it with. --Metropolitan90 22:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is there a religious or political reason that Amy Grant is not included in his info box on the right, I would like to think not??????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Newmans2001 (talkcontribs) 00:30, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

The infobox used here is Infobox musical artist. It does not contain a spouse parameter and since his spouse is not an important part of his career there's no need to change it to a different one. The documentation for the associated acts parameter is clear and being married to someone doesn't make you an associated act. So there are no religious or political reasons for her exclusion. I found this biography of Vince Gill to be between below average to average. It just provides a chronology of the life of Vince Gill. I would prefer to also read about his talent and how it rates in comparison to his peers and to others throughout the history of country music. For example, from what I know of Vince Gill he does not just 'play the guitar and mandolin', but he is one of the best guitar players in country music and one of the rare singers who also plays lead guitar in his band. I would like to know more about his skill at playing musical instruments, songwriting, singing, performing, etc. Not that he simply does all of these things.

Yes, also the article made no mention of his huge success (and route to it) over the period 1982-2010... I have made a start, others are welcome to improve it. Tony 1212 (talk) 06:05, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Someone should add (Many YouTube’s on this) how incredibly hilarious Vince is & how entertaining his stories are. He can really lift your mood if your having a hard day by just listening to him tell stories of his Dad, Mom, people recognizing him, karaoke. He really is a funny but also humbling guy. @Lonelyarefree: Thanks for the suggestion. We don't simply gather an WP:INDISCRIMINATE listing for things about a subject; we gather encyclopedic information about them. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:00, 25 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
