Talk:Primary challenge

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified (January 2018)

Someone edited "his political party" to "her political party." I changed it to "his or her." I then changed it again to the simple "their."

I don't know why people have such an aversion to using the singular "they." It's a very neat and controversy-free pronoun.

"A citizen has a right to their property." Boom. No one is complaining "YOU'RE CALLING THE CITIZEN AN OBJECT!" or "NONBINARY PROPAGANDA!" or "THEY REFERS TO A GROUP, NOT AN INDIVIDUAL!" These crap arguments are new and only came about because of the whole gender controversy.

They/their has been used forever when gender of a singular subject is indeterminate.
