Did he ever propose modifications to his 1919 round brilliant design?
His family was cutting diamonds circa 1919.
- Did these diamonds have girdles?
- What angle were the star facets cut at? 15 degrees? or 19-20 degrees?
- How steep were the upper girdle facets?
- How many sides did the crown main facets have? 4? or 6?
- How long were the lower girdle facets?
In 1919, Tolkowsky wrote that "The diamonds used as gems are generally colourless or only faintly coloured ; it can be taken that all the light that passes into the stones passes out again."
