Specific text to be removed: Remove 'Jared Barnett and'
Reason for the change: Insomnia Cookies was founded by just Seth Berkowitz, not Seth and Jared Barnett, so I'm requesting the removal of Jared's name. I've included a few supporting articles/descriptions that list Seth Berkowitz as the sole founder of Insomnia Cookies for additional evidence/support.
Not done for now: Sources from 2004 to 2023 all use "founders" or "cofounders" for the pair. [1][2] A court ruling also notes that the LLC was founded in 2003 by the two of them. [3] Based on what I could find, would it be fair to say that the timeline is something like this: Berkowitz starts Insomnia Cookies in October 2002,[4] Barnett becomes a co-founder/partner in Summer 2003 as the business grows and the business is formally incorporated,[5], Barnett is bought out in 2006. [6] That seems correct, unless there's the agreement when Barnett left has specific terms for use of the "co-founder" tag. Would not be opposed to adding something like that to clarify the solo, pre-incorporation stuff. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions20:55, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not done: It was in fact co-founded by Jared Barnett. See e.g. [7][8]. It appears this edit request comes from the fact that the company is having legal issues with Jared after he left the company; I will dive deeper when I have a moment and see if this controversy is WP:DUE enough for discussion in the article itself. Also note: this appears to be the second edit request to remove this information. I would be strongly opposed to the implementation of some version of this edit request in the future; you cannot rewrite history on Wikipedia. HouseBlastertalk15:44, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
