Summary

Description
English: An early vacuum tube radio receiver circuit used with the Audion (triode) vacuum tube which was invented by Lee De Forest in 1906. It uses a single triode as a grid-leak detector which rectifies the radio signal from the antenna, extracting the audio modulation (sound) from the radio frequency carrier wave, and amplifies the recovered audio frequencies.

This circuit image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Single tube triode receiver circuit.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
