English: -The Nassau County Auxiliary Police Program is a part of the Nassau County Police Department's Community Safety/Auxiliary section and essentially just provides extra assistance to the police department. Auxiliary officers are all volunteers and aren't licensed to carry guns.
-They also make do with an older fleet than the main police department. Impala 9C1s the age of the example pictured above are hard to find in service with departments in or around the New York area these days (or any other major metro area, for that matter), but they are a mainstay in the Nassau auxiliary fleet. -- Introduction
