Geoffrey Roy Rush, AC is an Australian actor, voice actor, and film producer, known for roles, such as David Hellfgot in Shine, which he won a Best Leading Actor Academy Award for, Marquis De Sade in Quills, which he was nominated for a Best Leading Actor Academy Award for, and Lionel Logue in The King's Speech, which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for.
His best known Disney role is Captain Hector Barbossa in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, being one of three actors to appear in all five films. He also voiced Nigel in the 2003 Disney/Pixar film Finding Nemo and played Philip Henslowe in the Miramax film Shakespeare in Love, which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award.
