Edward Hibbert is an American-born English actor, voice actor, and literary agent, who is best known for his role as Gil Chesterton in the NBC sitcom Frasier.
For Disney, he voiced Zazu in Timon & Pumbaa, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, and The Lion King 1½, replacing Rowan Atkinson. He also appeared, unbilled, as an overly dramatic theater hall caretaker in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, in scenes cut from the television airing but restored for DVD, and played The Wizard in Once Upon a Mattress. He then voiced Mary Poppins' Parrot Umbrella in Mary Poppins Returns.
Outside of Disney, he appeared in films, such as 1994 The Paper, Loch Ness, The First Wives Club, Everyone Says I Love You, Friends & Family, and Uptown Girls. In television, he appeared in Murder, She Wrote, Columbo, The Nanny, Married...with Children, Earthworm Jim, Fantasy Island (1998), Gilmore Girls, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 2 Broke Girls, and Blue Bloods. He also appeared stage shows, like Lady in the Dark, Noises Off, Curtains, Anyone Can Whistle, It Shoulda Been You, Something Rotten!, and Into the Woods.
