Darkwing Duck is an upcoming Disney+ animated series based on the the original series of the same name.[1][2]

Development for the reboot began in 2020, with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg credited as executive producers.[1] The original series' creator, Tad Stones, is also involved in the reboot as a creative consultant.[3]

- This will be the second Disney Afternoon show to be revived or rebooted, following the DuckTales reboot.
- Rumors of a Darkwing Duck reboot surfaced in April 2, 2015, originally intended for a 2018 premiere on Disney XD. This report was debunked as an April Fools prank. Instead, Darkwing Duck returned as a comic book published by Joe Books, which was released on April 27, 2016.
- Jim Cummings has confirmed that he has not been asked to reprise Darkwing for this series.[4]
- This reboot was mentioned at the end of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.
