Collections
Art that was produced, exhibited, and collected in the area is the backbone of the Delaware Art Museum’s permanent collection and Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives.
It is thanks to generous local donors that the DelArt collection reflects the artistic interests of our community—and that the collection continues to grow. The collection numbers about 12,000 works of art, including historical and contemporary American art, British Pre-Raphaelite art, and American illustration. Highlights include significant holdings of work by John Sloan, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Howard Pyle.
