The Library has a growing collection of digitised, born digital and electronic resources. In conjunction with various partners, the Library has begun a programme to digitise material from its collections. It has a large collection of databases, e-journals and e-books both sourced and maintained locally and through the IReL initiative.

All Island Research Observatory (AIRO)
This provides users with data and maps about numerous important issues in Ireland. Users will have access to data and maps from multiple government agencies in Ireland and many indicators, also indicators integrating north and south Ireland.
Data.gov.ie
The departments of the Government and other public sector bodies are releasing public data to help people understand how government works, how decisions are made, and what we know about the country and society. This pilot portal brings these datasets together in a single searchable website.
Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA)
Is a social science archive of research in Ireland. This is perfect for students and faculty who might be looking for a place to deposit their findings, or to search for qualitative data that may inform their work.
Irish Social Science Data Archive(ISSDA)
The Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) is Ireland’s leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination. Based at UCD Library, its mission is to ensure wide access to quantitative datasets in the social sciences, and to advance the promotion of international comparative studies of the Irish economy and Irish society.
The International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD)
This is a North-South-US partnership programme created to explore and expand the contribution that planning and the development of physical, social and economic infrastructures can make to improving the lives of people in both Irish jurisdictions – particularly those in divided and disadvantaged areas – and thus to peace-building and reconciliation on the island.
The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI)
Includes the work of a number of Maynooth University research institutions. While the repository is not yet live, the DRI has produced a number of excellent reports.These are listed here.
European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON)
Provides users with a rich array of All Island and EU indicators and data from the following databases. Database Portal, ESPON Database, EUROSTAT ,Background information, Publications.
