As of November 2024, Tencent was the highest-grossing mobile app and mobile gaming publisher in the Asia-Pacific region for the year, with more than 6.8 billion U.S. dollars in revenues. The Shenzhen-based tech giant is the publisher of popular Chinese social media QQ, as well as the internationally famous gaming app PUBG. Beijing Douyin Technology Co., Ltd.was the second highest-grossing app and game publisher in the region, with more than three billion U.S. dollars in revenues generated from TikTok, one of the most popular apps they operate with ByteDance Technology. NetEase ranked third with over 1.79 billion U.S. dollars in revenues.
