Synopsis for "Bleed, Part 3 of 3"

War had broken out between StormWatch and the United States government after Hawksmoor denied the Americans access to the alien spire. When the Americans soon resorted to sending nuclear attack bombers on the spire, Hawksmoor responds by sending Apollo to commit Operation Flashbang: Apollo makes a crater on the White House lawn to give a warning to the President. The bombers are then immediately withdrawn. But while this threat is averted, Watch Hall alerts Hawksmoor and Christine that they have detected a massive alien ship passing by Uranus' orbit and is heading directly for Earth.

Meanwhile in the mainstream universe, StormWatch is trying to find a way to warn their parallel counterparts of the aliens they are facing are the Kherans. Molly Perkins reveals that she can either send a pulse text to their computers or even transmit voice. Winter suggests intervening on the parallel Earth with more help from their Kheran allies such as Majestic and the Wildcats since Molly can expand the link across the Bleed to fit people through it. But to Winter's dismay, Jackson refuses any sort of physical intervention to the other Earth as he believes StormWatch has a mandate to protect their Earth only and he does not believe they have the authority to interfere in another world's affairs. Christine even sides with Jackson in which she points out that they do not have the necessary resources to help.

As the alien ship approaches Earth, Hawksmoor plans to collide Skywatch into the ship and allow Apollo and Hellstrike to penetrate the ship. After everyone is evacuated off the station, Skywatch smashes into the ship. Apollo and Hellstrike charged at the ship, but too late to realize the vessel escaped unharmed and the two heroes fatally smeared themselves on the ship’s hull.

In New York City, Hawksmoor and the others realized their plan had failed. Suddenly, the ship makes its appearance over Manhattan. Just as they pondered why the ship came over the city, Hawksmoor received a psychic message from Jackson King and Molly to know that the ship is Kheran and Zealot is one of them. Hawksmoor realized Zealot is present in the city before telling Christine to stay in the bunkers with nonessential personnel while he and the other superhumans confront the ship.

The ship hovers over a building to project a stair for Zealot to climb on board. Before she does so, Zealot is attacked by Fahrenheit and is brought before Hawksmoor and the others. With Zealot captured and preventing her people from attacking, Hawksmoor demands answers from her. She explains that she was exiled to Earth over a thousand years ago as a warning to her political party. Then twenty-odd years ago, a new government sent medics to experiment on children such as Hawksmoor to advance the human race to their level. Her people established the spire to monitor Earth’s superhuman population until it reached a certain level, which then transmitted its information back to its creators who will then officially contact the superhumans. However, another new government of her race deemed the superhumans a threat in which they sent their sweeper ship to break Earth’s civilization down to the Stone Age.

After hearing enough from Zealot, Hawksmoor executes her. He and StormWatch enter the ship to confront the aliens. This gave Christine and the others time to evacuate Manhattan within an hour before the ship mysteriously exploded and took much of the city with it. What happened on the alien ship remains unknown to everyone. Whether StormWatch fought the aliens to the death and their battle caused the ship's destruction, or they sacrificed themselves to destroy the ship, what matters in the end is that they won and saved their world.

On December 12, 2012, a much older Christine Trelane wrote on her computer chronicling Hawksmoor and StormWatch's end. Since then, Earth is left safe and sound as Christine celebrates life with her family.
