Karaku is the first of the Fire Trolls.

History

Being the first of the fire trolls, it also has the ability to create other lesser fire trolls to serve it. It was dormant for hundreds of years after taking over an ancient Atlantean settlement. When Atlanna and a few settlers moved there, they gave it a sacrifice to keep him in his slumber. Eventually, Aquaman and Mera find the island and Atlanna, who is afraid of Atlanteans and believes her son is dead attacks them awakening Karaku in the fight. Soon, the Atlantean forces arrive an help fight off Karaku and the Fire trolls but Daniel Evans is killed and Aquaman is injured. This causes Mera to get angry and conjure a water giant which battles Karaku and crushes it's head, which causes all the fire trolls to crumble and fall. A temporary measure as the Volcano God was an undying entity, given time he/it would simply reform again.
