Jack Schadenfreude was the familiar of the vampire Elijah Montenegro, tasked with bringing children for his master to feed on and occasionally devouring them himself.

History

Jack kidnapped children who worked in Montenegro's meat packing factory. During one kidnapping, he fought Batman and escaped. Commanded by his master to cover their tracks, Jack burnt down the plant, though the children were saved by Batman and Harry Houdini.

Tracked down to a carpentry store, Batman and Houdini fought Jack one last time, which ended with the madman falling to his death.
