Sapphire is a teenage super-hero and member of the Power Company. Beginning as a runaway street thief in San Diego, she gained her powers during a chance encounter with Kobra. She is bonded to a psycho-reactive alien gem called the Serpent's Egg that gives her telekinesis. Sapphire was created by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett, first appearing in JLA #61. (2002)
