Synopsis for Green Lantern: "The Patent Medicine Racket"
Mitch Hogan, a well-known racketeer, entertains a chemist named Mortimer Pestle in his hotel room. Pestle reveals he can create brand name toothpastes, mouthwashes, and other pharmaceutical creams using his own formula. Two months later, the racket is put into effect, and Hogan's goons strong-arm pharmacists around the city to sell their counterfeit products. Pestle and Hogan grow rich from their scheme, and the legitimate manufacturers meet to solve the issue. When they confront drug store owners, the owners refuse to expose the racket out of fear for their lives.
At Apex Broadcasting, Irene Miller and Alan Scott overhear a broadcast bemoaning the situation. Irene declares that this is a job the Green Lantern should handle. Alan Scott, agreeing with her, transforms into the Green Lantern that night and meets up with Doiby Dickles. He asks Doiby to keep an eye on the local drug stores, while Green Lantern heads to the Dentiment toothpaste factory to take a look at their records to see which stores canceled their shipments. Observing a drug store, Doiby sees a delivery truck park. Suspicious, Doiby makes a commotion and is cornered by two thugs, who capture him and throw him on the truck.
Green Lantern arrives at the same drug store and finds Doiby's hat. The owner of the store points him in the truck's direction, and GL tails the truck to the racket's secret factory. Before Doiby gets a beating, Green Lantern bursts in the room, and the partners make short work of the criminals. Hogan and Pestle attempt to escape, but Green Lantern's magic powers stop them in their tracks. Pestle, however, falls into a vat of acid and is killed. The police soon arrive, and Hogan is quickly arrested and put on trial.
At the trial, Hogan's lawyers make a mockery of the law, laying the blame for the crime on Pestle. Since Pestle is dead, Hogan appears to have gotten off without legal penalty. One of the witnesses on the stand is handed a note saying they have kidnapped his daughter, and the man refuses to testify. Green Lantern, however, stops the attack and brings the child to court with him. Cornered, Hogan pulls a gun and threatens to kill the judge, slowly moving toward the door. Doiby, entering the courtroom, distracts Hogan. Green Lantern moves into action, rescues the judge, and saves the day.

Synopsis for Doctor Mid-Nite: "The Menace of King Cobra"
A lawyer representing a union boss on trial for "a trumped-up murder charge" is abducted by members of secret society, the Cobra Kingdom. Fortunately, Dr. Mid-Nite's been following him and comes to the rescue. The King Cobra escapes, but the hero grabbed his mask, and because he can see in the dark, Mid-Nite got a good look at his face. As Charles McNider he dictates the story of the crooked mine owner behind the labor dispute to his secretary. The Cobras act more desperately, a masked army of torch-wielding fanatics assaulting the prison where the implicated union boss is being held to silence him forever. However, a newsboy hawking the headline from the article handed in by McNider reaches their ears. This weakens the King Cobra's sway over his men, who demand to know who they're working for. When he runs, some of his followers throw off their masks and work to capture their former compatriots. They're about to hang them, but Dr. Mid-Nite convinces them that mob law is no thing for good men to engage in, and to hand the murderers over to the authorities for a fair and honest trial.

Synopsis for Sargon the Sorcerer: "Arrested for Murder"
Sargon performs a trick where he pretends a pair of pigeons are bulletproof (by using his magic ruby to actually teleport the bullets into his pocket as he fires). However as he does, a man falls dead from a balcony. As the only man with a smoking piece, Sargon's immediately suspected. Sargon gets a visit in jail from Amos Arndt, who, along with the murder victim, opposed Sargon's efforts to raise money for playgrounds for needy children. This prompts the sorcerer to suspect Arndt had a hand in all this himself. Sargon's assistant Flora goes back to the theater to look into murder evidence, but is captured by a masked man and sealed inside a disused room.
Meanwhile, Sargon opens a hole in the wall of his cell and hypnotizes a cop to drive him around, because nobody would suspect a wanted felon being chauffeured around in a police car. Going back to the theater, Sargon and his policeman escort find a hidden gun emplacement set off by electronic control. He then confronts Amos Arndt and magically turns him into a child, so Arndt can see how rough it is being a street kid with no safe places to play. After a few hours of this he cries uncle, but Arndt isnt the killer. It was another landowner, White, who'd planned to kill Arndt as well and pin the blame on Sargon so he could "clean up" selling the land.
