All-American Comics #22 is an issue of the series All-American Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1941.

Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Fix the Fight Game"

In the Apex Broadcasting Studio, Irene Miller and Alan Scott discuss all the news the Green Lantern has been making. Tyler, another worker, asks whether they are going to the fight between Brute Nolan and Kid McKay. McKay has a reputation for being honorable while Nolan is rumored to be working for Mark Karaste, a known racketeer. At that same moment, Karaste and Nolan are discussing the fight. Karaste arranges for an accident to occur while McKay is out walking. That same night, Alan Scott becomes the Green Lantern and goes patrolling for evildoers.

After searching for quite some time, Scott finds a man being attacked by a group of thugs. Green Lantern easily dispatches the attackers, and the victim introduces himself as Kid McKay. McKay heads back to his home, and Green Lantern follows him from the air. He sees an oncoming car set on a collision course with the honest boxer. Green Lantern shoots a beam from his ring, causing a light pole to fall on the car and total it. The driver escapes and runs away with Green Lantern on his tail. He sees the man run into a building and makes a mental note of the address.

The next night, Green Lantern pays a visit to McKay, who is in great distress. He has received a note saying his wife will be killed unless he throws the fight. Alan tells McKay to fight until the last round and then allow himself to be knocked out. Hopefully, it will buy Green Lantern enough time to find McKay's wife. He flies to the building he left the criminal at the night before and easily frightens the man into giving up the wife's location: an old storehouse on 234 Ransom Street. While the superhero speeds to the storehouse, the fight begins.

Karaste receives word that Green Lantern soon to arrive on his rescue mission. He orders his men to set a trap and steal his magic ring. When Alan arrives, the trap is sprung, and he is put out of commission by a nonmetal weapon. The thugs take his ring, and, in the ring, McKay is taking a beating. One of the mobsters puts on the Lantern's ring and is instantly killed. Green Lantern escapes his bonds and makes short work of the gangsters, taking back his ring in the process. Just when it seems as if Kid McKay is down for the count, Green Lantern arrives with his wife, giving the boxer the motivation he needs to finish the fight and defeat Brute Nolan. Green Lantern confronts Karaste and forces a confession in front of the crowded arena. He is arrested, and, once again, the exploits of the Green Lantern are told of around the offices of Apex Broadcasting.
