Synopsis for Green Lantern: "The Wedding of the Harlequin"
The Harlequin places a personal ad to Green Lantern demanding matrimony, or she'll blow up the state treasury building. Alan Scott and Doiby arrive at the building to cover the supposed event, when suddenly Doiby's hypnotized by the Harlequin and demands Green Lantern obey the villainess's demands. To show how serious he is, Doiby hits the building, and apparently his touch causes it to explode exactly like the Harlequin warned. Even as she escapes with the ensorcelled Doiby, Green Lantern refuses to give in to the Harlequin's demands. "There can never be a wedding between justice and crime!"
Later, Harlequin broadcasts a message warning Green Lantern he'll be responsible for what happens for not obeying her, and Doiby realizes this is it for him, telling the hero to give his love to his wife, Goitrude. Knowing that's the name Doiby gave his car, not the name of his wife, Green Lantern investigates the car parked by the ruined building and finds clues leading him to what appears to be the Harlequin's secret hideout. Actually, it lets out into city hall, where she's hypnotized everyone into going through with a wedding ceremony for her and GL. When she puts on his power ring as part of the ceremony, Harlequin freaks out, since its mystical power "makes me see myself as I really am!" She runs away, unwed but uncaptured.

Synopsis for Doctor Mid-Nite: "The Crime Flowers"
Dr. Light returns, trying to rob charity funds by use of a new light device that can cause exponential plant growth, growing flowers to giant size to pin his victims underneath them. When Dr. Mid-Nite tries to stop him, Light uses the ray to attract the pollen coating the hero's outfit and leaves him at the mercy of a giant man-eating plant. After he's gone to rob a floral charity parade, Dr. Mid-Nite escapes, using his blackout bombs to weaken his photosynthetic attacker. Catching Dr. Light by surprise, Mid-Nite ties the fiend up with floral wreaths and finishes him off with a knockout punch.
